About Us
This clinic is an exciting new extension of Crown Medical Figtree, founded in 2014 and home to a team of 10 highly qualified doctors, registered nurses, & psychologists.
Building on our strong foundation in comprehensive general practice, Crown Medical Skin Clinic expands our services to meet a wide range of dermatological needs.
We offer comprehensive skin cancer checks that are designed to detect & diagnose early-stage melanoma as well as other developing skin cancers. Our experienced team also performs minor surgical procedures such as skin biopsies, lesion removals, and excisions. These procedures are carried out with care in a safe & supportive environment.
In addition to skin cancer care, we provide a broad range of women’s health services including cervical screening, contraceptive advice, hormonal skin management, & general health assessments. We also deliver paediatric skin care, managing common childhood conditions such as eczema, molluscum contagiosum, warts, & acne with a gentle and informed approach.
We are proud to offer PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) hair loss rejuvenation, a non-surgical treatment that offers significant benefits for individuals experiencing hair loss. PRP therapy can slow the rate of hair shedding, encourage new hair growth, improve scalp condition, and support the production of healthier, stronger hair. This regenerative treatment uses the patient’s own blood plasma to stimulate natural follicle function. It is suitable for both men & women in the early stages of hair thinning & provides an effective approach to restoring hair density & scalp health.
We are welcoming patients from 23rd June 2025 at Figtree Grove Shopping Centre.

frequently asked questions
What are the opening hours?
Crown Medical Skin Clinic is open Monday to Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM, & on Saturdays from 9:00AM to 1:00PM.
Do I need to make an appointment in advance?
Yes, making an appointment in advance is highly recommended to ensure you can be seen by the appropriate practitioner and to minimize waiting times. While we understand urgent issues arise, scheduling ahead allows us to provide you with the best possible care and allocate sufficient time for your consultation or procedure.
How do I book an appointment?
You can typically book an appointment online through our website, by calling our reception during business hours (4217 7400), or in person at the clinic. Please specify the type of service you require (e.g., GP appointment, skin check, women’s health check, dermal consultation) so we can book you with the most appropriate practitioner and allocate the correct amount of time.
What is the difference between a GP Skin Check and a Skin Cancer Check by a specialist?
A GP skin check is typically a general assessment by your family doctor, who is trained in identifying common skin concerns. A Skin Cancer Check by our specialised medical team involves a more in-depth examination using tools like dermatoscopes, by doctors with extensive experience in diagnosing and managing skin cancers, including complex cases requiring surgery.
Do I need a referral to see a specialist for a skin concern?
While you can book an appointment directly, a referral from your GP is often beneficial as it provides your medical history and can sometimes impact Medicare rebates for specialist consultations or procedures. However, it is not always strictly necessary for initial skin cancer checks or dermal clinician appointments. Please check with reception when booking.
What skin conditions do you treat?
We treat a wide range of medical skin conditions, including acne, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, rosacea, sunspots, and scarring. Our approach involves diagnosing the root cause and creating a personalised medical or dermal treatment plan for effective management.
What women's health services do you offer?
Our dedicated Women’s Health Clinic provides comprehensive care across all life stages, from puberty to menopause. Services include cervical screening, breast checks, contraception (including IUD and Implanon insertion/removal), preconception counseling, antenatal and postnatal care, and management of vaginal health concerns.
How often should I have a skin cancer check?
The recommended frequency for skin cancer checks varies depending on your individual risk factors, such as skin type, history of sun exposure, family history of skin cancer, and number of moles. Our doctors will assess your risk during your appointment and advise on the appropriate recall period for you.
Do you perform skin biopsies and surgical excisions?
Yes, our experienced medical team regularly performs skin biopsies to diagnose suspicious lesions and surgical excisions for confirmed skin cancers and other problematic lumps or bumps. We also handle more complex procedures like skin grafts and flaps when necessary.
